Description of the project

Project carried out by the first marine cooperative of the Balearics. The main objective is the drafting of the project: โ€œZero waste management at sea for waste generated on recreational vesselsโ€, based on the circular economy and compliance with the Agenda 2030 objectives.

Two services are proposed:

  • Collection of solid waste assimilable to urban waste (SUW)

  • Collection of grey and black water from anchored vessels in compliance with the MARPOL -Marine Pollution- International Convention

The collection of MSW will increase the municipal selective collection rate, while the collection of grey and black water will reduce a potential source of eutrophication and pollution of marine waters.

Specific objectives:

  • Support for the initial analysis (technical report and financial budget).

  • Pilot phase implementation.

  • Dissemination and replication of the project.
