Press Release “Tursiops makes 33 sightings of cetaceans”

The Ocean Born Foundation and Menorca Preservation have sponsored the third edition of the Moby Mummy project, which seeks to confirm cetacean breeding areas on the Balearic island, as well as to better understand their movements in order to contribute to their preservation.

The Tursiops association, an organisation created in 1998 with the aim of collaborating in the conservation and protection of cetaceans, has concluded the Moby Mummy 2021 campaign, the results of which have just been announced. During the first fortnight of July, the Tursiops research vessel, the sailing boat Irifi, covered a total of 840 miles searching for and tracking sperm whales in the waters north of Menorca.
