 - Salary: Competitive according to experience, between €1,400 and €1,700 gross per month
 - Reports to: Executive Director
 
Role summary
Menorca Preservation is seeking a Project Manager with strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a firm commitment to sustainability, to lead the management of the foundation’s own projects and oversee those implemented by local entities with the support of Menorca Preservation.
This person will play a key role in implementing initiatives such as Plastic Free Menorca, the S’Ullestrar Pilot Farm, and the participatory governance programme of the Illa de l’Aire Marine Reserve, as well as monitoring other projects funded by the foundation. They will work in close coordination with the Executive Director, the Communications Officer, and the technical project coordinators, and will contribute to identifying new collaboration opportunities and preparing funding proposals.
Main responsibilities
1) Management and coordination of Menorca Preservation’s own projects
- Build close and effective relationships with technical coordinators, partner organisations and collaborators involved in Menorca Preservation’s own projects.
 - Coordinate the Plastic Free Menorca alliance, organising monthly meetings, preparing minutes, and ensuring effective coordination among members.
 - Oversee and manage the implementation of Menorca Preservation’s own projects.
 - Ensure the planning, execution and evaluation of projects in line with agreed objectives, timelines and budgets.
 - Maintain and improve monitoring and evaluation systems to measure project impact (Salesforce).
 - Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management and coordination processes within the foundation.
 - Maintain contact with key entities, working groups and relevant stakeholders, identifying collaboration opportunities.
 - Manage the onboarding of technical coordinators, formalise their service contracts, and monitor compliance with their objectives.
 - Support and accompany the technical leads of Menorca Preservation’s projects in preparing interim and final reports for funders.
 - Collaborate with the Communications Officer in generating content for social media, blog posts, website and calendar.
 - Prepare quarterly project reports and present them to Menorca Preservation’s Steering Committee.
 - Identify potential issues in project implementation, ensuring that donors and the board are duly informed of any risks that may affect success.
 
2) Collaboration with entities funded by Menorca Preservation
- Build positive and fluid relationships with the island’s environmental sector to support the development and identification of potential environmental projects.
 - Support entities in preparing funding requests to Menorca Preservation.
 - Monitor the progress and impact of projects funded by Menorca Preservation.
 - Coordinate with implementing entities to ensure timely report submission and resolution of issues.
 - Support the communication of results in collaboration with the Communications Officer.
 - Enter, update and track projects in Salesforce.
 
3) Development of new initiatives and fundraising
- Identify local entities and projects aligned with Menorca Preservation’s mission.
 - Research funding calls for projects led by Menorca Preservation or local entities that share its mission.
 - Support the preparation of funding proposals alongside the technical leads.
 
4) Participation and overall objectives of Menorca Preservation
As a small organisation, Menorca Preservation values teamwork, collaboration, and mutual support among all team members. Therefore, in addition to the specific responsibilities of the role, each member is expected to actively contribute to achieving the foundation’s overall objectives and to take part in shared activities such as organising our annual fundraising gala and other awareness-raising events.

Candidate profile
Education and experience
- Degree in Social or Environmental Sciences, Project Management or a related field.
 - Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project coordination, management or a similar role.
 - Experience in project monitoring, report writing and communication with funders.
 - Experience in the third sector or in environmental projects will be an advantage.
 - High level of Spanish, Catalan and English.
 
Technical skills
- Proficiency in office tools (SharePoint, MS Office Suite, Salesforce).
 - Familiarity with WordPress, social media, and content management tools.
 - Knowledge of project management tools (not essential).
 - Previous experience in fundraising will be valued.

- Strong organisational skills, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
 - Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
 - Environmental commitment and alignment with the foundation’s mission.
