Charitable Art Recycling Contest aimed at promoting Sustainability and Local Creativity

Herbes Biniarbolla, Menorca’s artisan liquor factory, in collaboration with Menorca Preservation, have teamed up to present their first “Charitable Art Recycling Contest”. This exciting competition aims to encourage and promote local artistic talent while tackling the problem of waste generation by encouraging the reuse of materials from the Herbes Biniarbolla factory.

The competition aims to encourage creativity and raise awareness of the amount of waste generated, promoting the reuse of elements from our factory.

We will auction the artworks selected by our jury and all the funds raised will go to the preservation of Menorca’s natural environments through a donation to Menorca Preservation

The Charitable Competition

The competition is open to artists of all ages and artistic disciplines, either individually or in groups. Participants are encouraged to explore the relationship between society, crafts and Menorca’s natural heritage. As for the artworks, at least 70% of recycled materials from the Herbes Biniarbolla factory, such as cardboard, plastic, glass or metal, must be used in their creation. Participants must contact Herbes Biniarbolla (info@biniarbolla.es) to organise the waste collection and deliver the creations before 3 May 2024.

Prizes

The first three selected pieces will be awarded with lots of Herbes Biniarbolla products and a meal at Sa Punta for the first prize.
