Current calls for grant proposals

Different types of grants are being offered by several public institutions in order to facilitate the transition towards more sustainable energy practices as well as for research projects in the field of biodiversity management. Below, we would like to share some of them with you:

Individuals

Institut Balear d’Energia – Energy transition grants in the Balearic Islands – Apply until 31 December 2023

Energy efficiency, renewable energy and electric mobility grants: for the purchase of electric vehicles, renewable thermal systems or the installation of photovoltaic panels for self-consumption.

Companies

Tourism Companies

BGreen Menorca – Apply until Saturday 24 September 2022

The grants for tourist establishments of the BGreenMenorca project aim to support companies in the tourism sector in the implementation of actions for the conservation, improvement and restoration of Menorca’s natural heritage. They are aimed to reduce light pollution, reduce waste generation and improve waste management at its origin, improve energy and water efficiency and manage green areas in a sustainable way.

Scientific Organisations

Biodiversity management research programmes and projects support call for proposals 2022 – Apply until Thursday 13 October 2022

These projects will aim to contribute to strengthening the science and innovation system envisaged in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, through the funding of medium-term research programmes to expand scientific knowledge applied to biodiversity conservation planning and management, with a particular focus on innovation in management, in four specific lines:

  • Energy transition and terrestrial and marine biodiversity.
  • Marine biodiversity and marine protected areas.
  • Strengthening green infrastructure, connectivity and ecological restoration.
  • Desertification, degradation and land restoration.
