Protect what you love

Every donation helps us write the next chapter 👉

Your contribution helps fund local conservation projects that protect Menorca’s natural environment today and for future generations.

There are places that become part of who we are. Menorca is one of them.

Not only because of its landscapes, nor because of its marine environments.

But because of everything it makes us feel: the memories it holds, the people it brings together, and the way it connects us to something greater than ourselves.

At Menorca Preservation, we help protect the Menorca we love, so that nature, community and traditions can continue to thrive for generations to come.

These are some of the people dedicating their lives to protecting Menorca. Together, we can help them achieve even more.

Would you help us multiply our impact?👇

Sergio Riudavets

Sergio Riudavets

Regenerative farmer – Finca Santo Domingo

On just 1.6 hectares, Sergi has shown that farming can regenerate nature and strengthen the future of farming. Since adopting regenerative practices, his farm’s revenue has increased from €4 to €24 per square metre, while improving soil health and becoming a model for other farmers in Menorca.

Marine researchers, OBSAM-IME

Their research on shallow bays aims to turn science into action. By developing conservation plans for Mahón harbour, Addaia and Fornells, they’re helping protect some of the island’s richest marine ecosystems while creating a model that could potentially inspire marine conservation across the Balearic Islands.

Bird Ringer (SOM Menorca)

Every spring, Santi joins a rotating team of bird ringers and volunteers from around the world on Illa de l’Aire for a 45-day bird migration monitoring programme. Together with Raül Escandell, the study’s coordinator, he has helped ring more than 100,000 birds over the past 30 years, building an invaluable long-term scientific record that helps us understand how bird migration patterns are changing across the Mediterranean.

Inspiring the next generation

By taking conservation beyond the classroom and into the island’s coastline, farms and marine environment, we give children the opportunity to experience nature first-hand, take part in plastic clean-ups, and build a lifelong connection with the island. Over the past two years, the projects we support have helped more than 3,600 children and young people connect with nature. Together, we can help even more young people discover, value and protect the place they call home.
