🥰 El pasado sábado 5 de octubre estuvimos en la IX Mostra d’Entitats celebrada en Alaior. ¡Fue genial charlar con las otras entidades no lucrativas y dar a conocer el trabajo de nuestra Alianza Plastic Free Menorca en la lucha contra la contaminación por plástico en Menorca!

💫 Muchas gracias a Fòrum ETS Menorca y a todas las personas que nos ayudasteis a separar residuos de recogidas de plásticos en playas y a crear fantásticos mosaicos con los materiales encontrados.

ℹ️ El Fòrum ETS Menorca es la red de entidades sin ánimo de lucro y no gubernamentales nacida con el objetivo de fortalecer el tejido asociativo, difundir sus valores y conseguir el pleno reconocimiento público e institucional a su cometido e incidir en el día a día de la sociedad menorquina.  Su misión es contribuir a la transformación social: por una sociedad más justa, equitativa, sostenible y solidaria a partir de las demandas y necesidades expresadas por la ciudadanía organizada democráticamente.

Vuelve el Menorca Doc Fest con increíbles actividades programadas en distintos puntos de la isla entre el 4 de Octubre y el 12 de Noviembre: exposiciones, documentales, cortometrajes… ¡Una auténtica fiesta de la cultura!

📽️ 19 OCTUBRE | PREMIO MENORCA BIOSFERA: Beca de creación documental y residencia artística 

La novedad de este año es que la convocatoria del Premio Biosfera, el cual ha contado con el apoyo de Menorca Preservation desde el 2021, se ha transformado en una beca de creación documental. Así, el pasado mes de junio las artistas seleccionadas Claudia Barthelemy, Arnau Cloquells y Macià Florit, han disfrutado de una residencia artística en la Casa d’Artistes (Menorca) con la mentoría de Laia Manresa, para acompañar sus procesos de creación y producción.

👉 El resultado de esta beca podrá verse el 19 de octubre a la Sala Albert Camus de Sant Lluís.

ℹ️ Sobre el Menorca Doc Fest | El festival combina el cine documental y la fotografía como herramienta de difusión, sensibilización y educación. Utilizando el arte audiovisual documental como pretexto para programar diversas actividades culturales, promueve la reflexión sobre los cambios que están experimentando nuestras sociedades y nuestra cultura. El Premio Biosfera es una de las secciones del MDF, centrada en temas medioambientales y de sostenibilidad. Más información sobre el proyecto en nuestra web.

🥰  Last Saturday 5th October we were at the IX Mostra d’Entitats (Exhibition of Menorcan entities) held in Alaior. It was great to chat with the other NGOs involved and raise awareness about the work of our Plastic Free Menorca Alliance in the fight against plastic pollution in Menorca!

💫 Many thanks to Fòrum ETS Menorca for organising the event and to all the people who helped us to separate waste from beach clean-ups and to help us to create fantastic mosaics with some of the materials found.

La Menorca Doc Fest is back with incredible activities programmed in different parts of the island between the 4th of October and the 12th of November: exhibitions, documentaries, short films… A true celebration of culture!

📽️ 19th OCTOBER | MENORCA BIOSFERA AWARD: Grant for documentary creation and artistic residency 

This year’s novelty is that the Premio Biosfera (Biosphere Prize), which has been supported by Menorca Preservation since 2021, has been transformed into a documentary creation grant. As a result, last June selected artists Claudia Barthelemy, Arnau Cloquells and Macià Florit, have enjoyed an artistic residency at Casa d’Artistes (Menorca) with the mentorship of Laia Manresa, in order to accompany their creation and production processes.

👉 The results of this residency will be shown on 19 October at the Sala Albert Camus in Sant Lluís.

ℹ️ About the Menorca Doc Fest | The festival combines documentary film and photography as a tool for dissemination, awareness and education. Using documentary audiovisual art as a pretext for programming various cultural activities, it promotes reflection on the changes that our societies and culture are undergoing.
